Props
Blankets, bolster, and optional eye pillow.
Hold Time
10 to 20 minutes
Cautions
Use extra support for pregnancy, blood pressure changes, or pain. Comfort and ease are the priority over depth.
Entering Restorative Corpse Pose
Lie flat on your back. Place a bolster under the knees and support under the head if needed. Let the arms rest away from the body with the palms turned up. Take a steady inhale to create length, then use the exhale to settle into the final shape.
Exiting Restorative Corpse Pose
Deepen the breath and begin small movements in the fingers and toes. Roll to one side and rise slowly when ready. Pause in a neutral position for a moment before continuing.
