- Cautions and Contraindications
- Practice within a pain-free range. Reduce depth or use props for knee, low back, neck, wrist, or shoulder sensitivity.
- Entering Extended Hand to Big Toe Pose
- Stand on one leg and draw the other knee toward the chest. Hold the big toe, foot, or use a strap. Extend the lifted leg forward or out to the side while keeping the torso upright. Take a steady inhale to create length, then use the exhale to settle into the final shape.
- Exiting Extended Hand to Big Toe Pose
- Bend the lifted knee. Release the foot and return it to the floor with control. Pause in a neutral position for a moment before continuing.
