- Props
- Blankets strongly recommended.
- Hold Time
- 3 to 5 minutes
- Cautions and Contraindications
- Avoid forcing depth. Back out if you feel sharp, pinching, or electric sensations, especially around knees and low back.
- Entering Snail Pose
- Lie on your back and lift the legs overhead. Support the back with the hands if needed as the hips lift off the floor. Bring the feet toward the floor or support behind the head. Take a steady inhale to create length, then use the exhale to settle into the final shape.
- Exiting Snail Pose
- Support the back with the hands. Slowly roll the spine back down to the floor one section at a time. Pause in a neutral position for a moment before continuing.
